Acapella Musical Festival is a community-based initiative that aims at establishing new forms of partnerships with youth and surrounding communities through music and entertainment making up the loss of competitive art forms in townships, involving new faces and talent.
The festival was created after seeing the consistency and drive of A capella groups who are singing tirelessly for commuters that are traveling by taxis in different ranks around Cape Town. The organization realized a definite need for an annual platform to keep these musical groups going. The festival will feature 12 musical groups with an opportunity to showcase their talents, promote their music and to create job opportunities for youth in the arts and culture industry.
