Outer Space – Comets of Choral Music [5 yrs+, 75 mins]

Outer Space – Comets of Choral Music explores humanity’s fascination with the heavens, with light, stars, and darkness—with everything that lies beyond our planet. From humanity’s earthly perspective, the question arises: How can the vastness of the universe and the celestial bodies be experienced through sound?

The musical answers to this question are diverse through Johann Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Schütz, Robert Schumann, and Gustav Mahler.

There will be a brief introduction to the musical and astronomical encounters before the start of the concert.

The concert is made possible by the German Youth Choir, the Goethe-Institut, and the Wits Anglo American Digital Dome.
