Conductor Laureate of both the CPO and Symphony Nova Scotia in Canada where was Music Director for 16 years, Gueller is one of the most popular conductors on the CPO podium, combining insight and musicality in lauded performances.

Late last year, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and Filippo Gorini began what has developed into a very special relationship. It started, rather simply, with a piano: Gorini needed a Steinway on the City Hall stage for the recording of his latest CD, and the CPO was delighted to make its instrument available to a pianist of such distinction.

CPO CEO and Artistic Director Adriaan Fuchs had heard Gorini had already heard him perform at Carnegie Hall and was deeply impressed by his musicianship and artistry. We are therefore especially pleased to welcome Filippo to Cape Town and to continue this developing collaboration.
