The Encounters Talks Programme brings together filmmakers, editors, artists and thinkers in a series of conversations and masterclasses exploring documentary cinema as a space for memory, resistance, repair and cultural reclamation. From women reclaiming histories of labour and power, to storytelling as a form of healing, repatriation and political intervention, the programme reflects on how documentary practice can restore dignity, challenge dominant narratives and reshape collective understanding.
