Borne Frees: The New Narrative is a dance production by New World Dance Theatre, presented in collaboration with WCED schools, Artscape and Cape Town dance youth collectives, groups and studios. The work brings together young dancers and professional trainees to explore identity, voice and the power of storytelling through movement. Through collaboration and mentorship, dancers develop technical skills, confidence and artistic expression, while contributing to a new, evolving narrative shaped by the voices of today’s youth.
