Peca Setimo Juramento - The Seventh Oath by Grupo de Teatro Girass (Mozambique) is a choreographed theatre piece where a character journeys through dark worlds seeking a global identity rooted in wellbeing, justice, and love. As part of the Kaza Kamba Pan African Theatre Festival, our visiting production Peca Setimo Juramento – The Seventh Oath is brought to us by Maputo-based Grupo de Teatro Girass. The festival runs from Thu 06 to Sun 09 Nov 2025—its second edition—featuring films, poetry, music, workshops, and open to all. Produced by Joaquim Matavel, written by Paulina Chiziane, and directed by Ramadane Matusse, the play stars Paulo Jamine as a character who journeys through dark worlds in search of a global identity rooted in wellbeing, social justice, and love—through storytelling, poetry, and movement, provoking visions for a better world.
