Her mother Lauretta was a rural South African storyteller who became a revolutionary, political exile, and celebrated feminist writer—a true force of nature. Using archive materials, re-enactments, and interviews, the film follows Lauretta as a PAC courier to exile in London during apartheid's height. Mother and daughter's narratives intertwine as Ngcobo celebrates storytelling as resistance, resilience, and defiance.
