GOOD MORNING PROPAGANDA

Good Morning Propaganda follows a moment in the life of Pan-Africanist and MK Cadre, Cain ‘Killer Cain’ Godolozi. Killer Cain is at odds with his PTSD as an MK soldier and is disillusioned with the South Africa that he fought for and the South Africa that he is currently experiencing. He still believes in the South Africa he fought for and wants to urge his comrades and fellow citizens to revisit the beliefs and theories they initially adopted in the anti-apartheid fight. However, he is fighting some demons too.
His inner turmoil externally shows itself with how volatile he is towards his wife, Innocentia and how he relates to Bra Cliff, a fellow comrade with a crippling relationship to alcohol. In addition to this comes a mystery that makes itself known through an inquisitive journalist named Thato. This play shows how cadres and comrades communicate to each other, how they engaged with the literature at that time and how it has affected their views, past and present. There much authenticity, it shows the cadres have a relationship to the culture.
