LU DLAMINI ALBUM LAUNCH

Lu Dlamini returns with her most powerful work to date: Gido, an album that stands as both a tribute and a call to remembrance, unity and healing. The official launch takes place at 19h00 at The Drama Theatre, featuring a special screening of The Golden Nile Meridian, a documentary tracing an ancestral energy line from Durban to the Pyramids of Giza, intricately woven with Lu’s signature sonic storytelling.

Named after her late mother, Kitomena (Gido) uMakhuzwayo, the album brings together a constellation of South Africa’s most revered musicians: Dr Madala Kunene, Steve Newman, Andile Yenana, Marius Botha, Riley Giandhari, Zibusiso Makhathini, Qadasi and Ntobeko Shandu.
The final sonic polish was masterfully applied by the legendary David Birch.
