FAZIKANA, written by Lebohang Moroe and co-directed by Ikobeng Moatlhodi & Lebohang Moroe, is a raw musical reckoning with the women left behind after the 2012 Massacre a powerful exploration of grief, accountability, and political corruption that traps communities instead of freeing them, and the defiant fight to rebuild in the silence that remains. Closing the bill, MASECHABA THE POETESS, written by Goitsemang Pholo and directed by Lebohang Moroe, let words do the work through piercing poetry, Masechaba cuts through corruption, pain, and possibility, reminding us that poetry is protest, healing, and a call to action.
