About

The Market Theatre Laboratory and TsaMmu offers a part-time short film writing Course. This course delves into the art and craft of short film screenwriting, with a strong emphasis on the three-act structure. You'll learn to break down stories, analyze films, and develop your own original concepts. Through critical thinking and analysis, you'll refine your storytelling skills and gain a deeper understanding of character development, plot, and theme. The course culminates in the creation of your own 5-7 minute short film.
The course begins on 3 May 2025 – 20 July 2025. Attendance in all sessions is required to successfully complete the course. The class takes place once a week, Saturday for 3 hours, 1pm to 4pm.
