EMBO is a commemorative programme that promotes indigenous forms of music and the commemorative of history through discussions and music. This is done through a dialogue (debate) and a music concert.
The central theme for this year will be on the life and times of the anti-apartheid campaigner, Winnie Madikizela Mandela.The programme will be a celebration of history and a commemoration through a one-day programme which will include a debate discussion with female learners/ students and a music concert. The concert will be a celebration of heritage and culture, zooming into Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s heritage- the Xhosa culture.
It will also have performances by artists whose music is rooted in culture and heritage.
