4 Cups is a play told through monologues and physical theatre where generational curses affect the lives of girl children who learn to become women in a world of racism and traditional patriarchy. The suggestion of the culinary habitat reveals the perpetuated exoticism and suffocation of the black woman's anatomy. The four-woman production is written and directed by Leanetse Seekoe, choreographed by Kenneth Mphahlele, and performed by Nwabisa Mbambo, Simphiwe Ndlovu, Mbali Ndlozi and Thendo Khabana.
