THE ISLAND

Joburg Theatre in partnership with the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation will present The Island from 04 to 13 of October 2022.
The Island is set in Robben Island, South Africa's notorious prison, where John and Winston are political prisoners and cellmates. After absurdly grueling days labouring under the sun, they return to their dark cell to rehearse a makeshift performance of Sophocles' play Antigone.
