HERSTORY MUSEUM

The journey of a girl who finds herself trapped in the mystical realm of a South African museum, who encounters five statues who come to life in this realm. These five different statues represent different black women from different eras. The school girl encounters these statues, she starts a journey of self-reflection and introspection on how she views herself, why she dresses the way she dresses, why she speaks the way she speaks and how and why she behaves the way she does. As they express their norms and perspectives this in turn helps the young teenage girl begin her journey of self-decolonisation.
