THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD SCREENING

Joburg Theatre will be hosting an exclusive screening of The Underground Railroad Watch Party in collaboration with cultural workers, Fezokuhle Mthonti and Andiswa Mkosi on the newly upgraded, hybrid Mandela stage.
The Underground Railroad is a 10-part series directed by Academy Award Winner, Barry Jenkins starring two time Emmy nominee, Thuso Mbedu.
Mbedu, South Africa’s import to the world, plays the character of Cora Randall in this searing fictional story of enslavement. After escaping a Georgia plantation, Cora boards a train embarking on a harrowing trip as she seeks true freedom while being hunted by a notorious slave catcher.
