The tragedy of Samuel Omunye is a two-hander play that asks the existential question of whether or not humans have freewill.
The debate around the theory of freewill and hard determinism is old and popular in different studies like philosophy, science and theology, but very rarely is the theory applied to real life events - which is exactly what this play does. This debate is set in the post-colonial fictional country of Niamba, and has a civil war as its background.
