Ubukho Productions & The Joburg Theatre present Ndikho after successful runs at the UJ Arts Festival, PopArt Theatre and Wits Theatre.
Ndikho is a theatre production written by Sanelisiwe Yekani and directed by Sinenhlanhla Q. Zwane. This allegory presents a world known as Ubukho-Ville; a not-so-fictional country which reflects an era of endangered women. Ubukho-Ville is covered with a dark cloud and cursed with marching men who chant funeral hymns. The united fury that these endangered women feel gives birth to the spirit of Mvundla. Mvundla arrives as the carrier of news and the alchemist.
