Basadi Ka Dituku (women in head wraps) is an annual event that focuses on women from all walks of life, a fun and very educational experience. Gender Based Violence is a big deal in South Africa due to all the socio-economic challenges the African woman is faced with on a daily basis. This platform allows us to engage and discuss these challenges
Basadi Ka Dituku is a project that brings women together to celebrate our achievements, share ideas, eat, laugh and dance together. It allows social cohesion and is a great platform for women empowerment.

Theme: Denim and White with a touch of Africa
This year 2023, Soweto Theatre in association with Basadi Ka Dituku is bringing to Johannesburg will once again join women in solidarity under the theme “We will not be silenced”. The event will emphasise the importance of woman standing together in the fight against the scourge of the abuse of woman and children in South Africa. A day of conversations, music, art and dance.
This experience will be braced with various artists and Djs, with acts like Vusi Nova, the sensational gospel artist Ayanda Ntanzi, Tabia, Kitchen Mess just to name a few. We have partnered with our local radio station Jozi FM on their sanitary drive “For The Princess Campaign”, a drive that we endorse fully as the female lifestyle brand that we are.
The day will entail of stalls ranging from food to clothing and arts and craft in support of women in business.
