The South African College of Music, founded 109 years ago, offers world-class
performances of African and Western music, jazz, opera, and technology-inspired
compositions on a weekly basis throughout the academic year on Tuesday evenings,
with occasional concerts on other nights of the week.

AT THE MID-HOUR OF NIGHT SARAH-JANE BRANDON (SOPRANO) GARY MATTHEWMAN (PIANO) Sarah-Jane Brandon, who will be in Cape Town to sing the role of Mimì in Cape Town opera’s production of La Bohème, will present a special art song programme with Gary Matthewman. Together they will weave a charming programme of beauty, seduction, mystery and magic as they explore the endless possibilities offered to us by night. With songs by Mendelssohn, Berg, Strauss, Bachelet, Debussy and Novello.
