After 20 years of performing in English, we launched my Afrikaans album, Die Aandblom 13, in '16. I’ve loved performing the new material & my band has blown me away by incorporating the music of my mother tongue seamlessly into our set.
I’ve enjoyed the poetry and beauty of working with another language so much so that it’s inspired me to diversify even further, adding additional languages to our multi-dimensional set.
This year, with The Chapters of Sound, we’re going to incorporate a few Zulu & Xhosa classics into my set, reinterpreted with my band’s alternative rock feel and the sensational vocals of Lebo Moalusi.
