Roodepoort Theatre in association with Amukelani Theatre productions presents 76 behind Peterson, Created and directed by Themba Mnyando.
This play takes place during the time of the South African struggle, when school children were denied an opportunity to learn in their mother tongue. They had to write, speak and sing in the Afrikaans language. The students were not happy with the South African education system, they then started plotting to burn police stations , schools , question papers and disrupt any other school activities; in order to be heard, when this was in vain the students decided to strike.
