Soweto Fashion Week (SFW) is now established as one of the largest and most influential fashion platforms in South Africa by participation and media coverage, featuring approximately 90 designers and 42 shows per season. More than a platform for township-based designers, SFW is a national fashion platform that attracts designers from across South Africa.
In association with the South African Fashion Association, SFW also serves as South Africa’s primary representative within the BRICS International Fashion Federation, helping facilitate global export opportunities for local designers.
The platform remains highly active and continues to play a significant role in elevating South African fashion locally and internationally, while positioning Soweto as a fashion capital.
