JOZI Youth Dance Company is the first company of its kind. This brand new company aims to create professional level productions and dancers and to be recognised nationally and internationally.
The company does various dance styles and celebrates the talents of local choreographers and artists in hopes of building dancers’ careers from a young age.
Jayd Swart, founder and director of JOZI Youth Dance Company, felt that the level of dance of the South African youth is too high to go unnoticed and decided that there was a gap in the market for a semi-professional company highlighting the youth.
Our 2016 Season is titled, “Nouvelle Ére” (New Era).
