The Solos and Duets is a festival dedicated to creating a platform for young and independent producers to showcase their artistic work. It brings to the Soweto Theatre performance stages the work of established and developing producers, working independently to harness their talents and share with audiences riveting performances.
The festival features the work of five carefully selected producers, who in their own artistic realm cover a wide spread of themes. The productions include Last Cow Standing, Betewu, Simon and Scuttling Skin. These works cover prevalent themes including but not limited to experiences such as biographies, family, family dignity, gender & mental health.
