The Design Indaba Festival of Creativity takes place between 26 February to 29 February 2020. This celebratory cultural and creative event is presented by Design Indaba and runs concurrently with the annual Design Indaba Conference. The festival features simulcast conference talks, expansive workshops and future-focused seminars.

Nightscape is Design Indaba’s evening festival, a creative wonderland which will feature masterclasses, exhibitions, live performances and more.
Nightscape will take place every evening from 16h00 onwards from 26 to 28 February 2020, setting the piazza of the Artscape Theatre Centre in Cape Town abuzz with the spirt of creativity.
Evening masterclasses in a ‘take what you need’ format, taught by experts across disciplines. Masterclasses are open to conference delegates as well the public. (Some classes are free whilst others may require an entry fee).
Li Edelkoort’s ever-popular three-hour trend forecast seminar forms part of the official programme for the Design Indaba’s 25th anniversary celebration. Her upcoming talks in Johannesburg and Cape Town take place in two parts, with the first half devoted to the green revolution, while the second half will focus on new directions for food and how this megatrend will shape us.
