Hilton College Music Dept is proud to present Andrew Lloyd Webber’s REQUIEM. Featuring a full orchestra, choirs from four local schools, and showcasing the talents of the Pietermaritzburg Children’s Choir, this celebrated work remains one of the most beloved of all the classical Requiems ever written. The composition was inspired by a story of a Cambodian boy who suffered under the Khmer Rouge. It includes the song “Pie Jesu,” which remains one of the composer’s most popular works and has been covered by many artists. This spectacular work is brought to life once again for one performance only. Staged and conducted by Luke Holder.
