Violence against women is a pandemic in South African society. At home, in the workplace and social spaces – women are subject to verbal and physical assault everywhere. In most cases, men are the perpetrators of violence against women in all its horrific guises. But even during initiatives such as the sixteen days of activism, the silence of men is deafening. How do we stop the cycle of silent complicity and abuse?
