Producer Jayson Jay King one of SA’s most vibrant music/variety producer since 1960 introduces some of the most sensational singers with his show WELCOME TO CAPE TOWN in Concert performing tributes to some of the great American and British entertainment icons. This stellar cast features; Fagrie Isaacs, Nur Abrahams, Sumaya Hendricks, Shadley Schroeder, Nazneen Leeman, Belinda Qaqamba Fassie and Ruth Knight all from Cape Town. All these artists have spent several years performing in Europe and the Balearic Islands, as well as cruise ships where they stole the hearts of many tourists. patronizing 5 star hotels, holiday resorts and night clubs.
The cast will perform songs by Luther Vandross “Impossible Dream, which is an all -time favourite on the Soul Music Billboard. Dame Shirley Bassey comes to life with her “This my life” and “Goldfinger” in an unreal Bassey tribute. Some beautiful renditions of songs made popular by ENGELBERT, ELVIS PRESLEY, THE STYLISTICS, BRYAN ADAMS, GLORIA ESTEFAN, GLADYS KNIGHT, JENNIFER RUSH, CHER and MICHEAL BUBLE will mesmerize the audience with the un-mistakeable styles. Belinda Q Fassie will rock you in your seats with songs by Miriam Makeba, Diana Ross and Gladys Knight. A “live” version of Elvis as if at Madison Square Garden 1972. WELCOME TO CAPE TOWN IN CONCERT will have visitors and locals jiving in their seats.
The costumes have the reputation to bedazzle the audience. The show will be staged for one performance only at the STAR THEATRE on Caledon Street in old District Six.
