Rapture - (Kucheza Afrika Festival)

Rapture draws inspiration from the sculptures of prolific South African sculptor, Anton Smit. Rapture navigates various geographies and landscapes: hances, places and hands. Rapture is a journey between the shadow and soul. Smit imbues his sculptures with an illusion of movement or gesture, bodies curling up and limbs reaching out. Rapture is performed in 7 parts: Landscape, Tornado, Echo, Entwine, Freefall, Faith, The Departure/Rapture
