The Mental Health Seminar will be focused on ensuring mental well-being in the society and empowering people about the nature and treatment of mental disorders. This will be done through various speakers who have expertise on mental health.
The Seminar aims to challenge the stigma attached to Mental Health disorders in the society where depressed people are discouraged to open up especially in the black community. As a result, people end up adopting harmful coping mechanisms in trying to deal with the depression.
