In this introductory workshop participants will get a glimpse of what this art and practice entails from both a theoretical and practical perspective. The first session explores what Arabic calligraphy is about, tools used and the process. In the second part participants learn how to prepare tools and to do basic letter formation and writing. The workshop concludes with a panel discussion where South African calligraphers share their experiences learning under Master calligraphy teachers.
