Hamba Kahle, Mkhonto is based on Norman Duka’s book, From Shantytown to Forest: the testimonies of young ANC cadres at a People’s Theatre workshop at Mazimbu, Tanzania; the play, Mandela: the Spirit of No Surrender, which devised and acted by the Zimbabwean Frontline theatre group, Zambuko/Izibuko; and the cast of Hamba Kahle, Mkhonto.
