"1937" is a carefully woven narrative featuring a crew of young men who were freed from the throttling political narrative in South Africa by a marathon five-month tour to Australia and New Zealand.
In the process they were able express themselves both as rugby players and as human beings. They did so famously. In the process, they captured the imagination of a generation of New Zealanders.
1937 is a celebration of the value system underpinning rugby and a powerful reminder of what is truly important in life and legacy.
An 80 minute story, broken up into two halves with a short interval.
