Xhoulag in Kimberley

Two of the Northern Cape’s brightest talent, Danneline Ramsden and Vito Heyn, join forces in Xhoulag, a unique storytelling and music production celebrating the people of Namakwaland.

Danneline is from Komaggas and Vito is from Okiep. Together they have captured the imagination of people from all over the country, and this will be their first performance in Kimberley. Xhoulag is the term people from Namakwaland use to describe an exuberant laugh.

In the tradition of the late Tolla van der Merwe, Danneline tells the humorous stories of her home town, neatly alternated by Vito’s sought-after Nam-Afrikaans rap songs.
