Buyel'embo

Thandeka Mfinyongo is a musical bow player (uhadi and umrhubhe) and vocalist. She has done a lot of collaborative work but has never had her own show.
 
“This year I released my first song and felt the urge to share myself and my music with people. The purpose for this show is to explore musical bow and singing by combining these isiXhosa traditional instruments with Western concepts and music. I will do lots of cover songs by the legendary bow player mam’ uMadosini and do some original works. It’s basically my own version and translation of the old in this new era, with arranged songs”
