JIVE 9 NINE

Via-Volcano Pantsula Dance Company presents to you the Jive Nine-Nine Theatre Production on the 21st July 2018 at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, Soweto, at 8 pm.

An on-stage illustration that tells the history of township dance styles, aimed at bringing back to life the experience, and the relationship between Isipharaphara (train surfing) and the world of pantsula dance.

Inspired by the sound of connecting rods of the train moving over the tracks, this powerful production traces the generations of Isipantsula.

The production promises to deliver an act that will revive the audience experience of what defines the culture of Isipantsula in the township.
