About the Album: Intlambululo: Ukuhlambulula A deeply spiritual and reflective body of work, Intlambululo: Ukuhlambulula translates to “purification” and represents music as a form of cleansing, renewal, and rebirth. The project explores the dualities of life — grief and hope, memory and imagination — and reflects Mandisi’s ability to weave profound storytelling through intricate compositions. Each piece invites listeners into a journey of collective healing, guided by the Xhosa proverb “Umntu yinkosi ukuzazi” — one’s power lies in self-knowledge.
