In the heart of Metsweding, the village thrives under the watchful eye of the Gods. Every 50 years, a chosen soul ascends to the Watchtower, anointing blessings and safeguarding the realm. Matlhodi, the current Watcher, aware of the impending danger, selects Modise as her successor. A fierce warrior with a noble heart, Modise grapples with the burden of his calling, torn between duty and desire, he attempts to resist the call to the Watchtower.
Meanwhile, the King who desires Modise's calling schemes to end Modise's life. In the aftermath of the war, the village is left in ruins, and Modise, having lost everything, reluctantly answers the call to the Watchtower and accepts the eternal duty to protect Metsweding.
