About

A recital of much-loved European and Brazilian music for Cello and Piano, by Peter Lewis (Piano) and S'celo-Chris Njapha (Cello), named as a "rising star" performer in the Endler Hall concert series at Stellenbosch University. He was principal cellist and soloist with the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and is currently touring Vietnam with the World Youth Orchestra. Peter Lewis is an alumnus of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, and Oxford University Music School UK. "Earthbox" is a unique ancient and intimate underground space in earth created by immense geological forces, aeons before the appearance of homo sapiens under African skies.

S`celo-Chris is an award-winning "rising star" performer, principal cellist and soloist with the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Peter Lewis is an alumnus of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, Belgium, and Oxford University Music Faculty, UK. They will play music by Bach, Brahms, Faure, Rachmaninov, Villa-Lobos, and Dvorak. The venue, "Earthbox", is a unique ancient and intimate underground space in earth created by immense geological forces, aeons before the appearance of homo sapiens under African skies.
