Dog Rose

Dog Rose is a new play about autism spectrum disorder, neurodivergence and family relationships. Written by multi-award winning, fresh new talent Sophie Joans (creator of internationally acclaimed solo show, ÎLE) and directed by Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year 2018 Winner, Jemma Kahn, this mother-daughter comedy-drama stars Sophie Joans alongside multi-award winning actress, Anthea Thompson.

Developed as part of the Artscape’s New Voices Programme in 2022 as a staged reading, it was selected to be part of the National Arts Festival Arena Programme in 2023, where it quickly sold out its final night in a short 3 night run.
