The Creation is an oratorio for a large choir, full orchestra and 3 Soloists, a bass soprano and tenor, written in 1798 by Haydn.

Its a great work that was inspired by Handel's Messiah. It depicts the story of the 7 days of the Creation of the world told, in the first half by 3 of the the Archangels (Soloists) and the heavenly hosts (the choir). In the 2nd half we are in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve and the work continues.
