The story is about an old man who takes young children from the streets of Makgatho. Through his guidance, he also provides for them and educates the children so that they see better opportunities out of a disadvantaged community, the story takes a turn when we meet Zinzile, who doesn’t abide by the rules set by the grandfather, she becomes a victim of drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and suicidal thoughts. We follow her through rehabilitation and relapses.
