BURNT VHUWANI

Burnt Vhuwani is both a documentary theatre production and a participatory project. The production is devised as a full production for theatre and as a space activation (site specific) piece, at the Heritage sites or Museums that house the history and materials of the June 16 1976 uprising facilitated through The Time Travel Methodology.

This production will focus on the goals engraved in the Freedom Charter, the South African Constitution, the history of social ills affecting the education system before the nationwide June 16 1976 uprising to the 42 years aftermath of The Fees Must Fall uproar.
