SAMSON AND DELILAH

The story, told in a South African context, explores the forbidden love story between Samson a leader and Judge of the Israelites and Delilah a Philistine, whose people had been oppressing the Jews for over 40 years until Samson came into power.

Born to a barren woman, with a promise to begin to bring deliverance to his people the Israelites, from the oppressive Philistine rule, Samson wrecks havoc among the Philistines, and the Philistines seek to find the source of his mighty strength so as to restore and reinforce their oppressive rule over the Israelites once more.
