ANTIDOTE THE MUSICAL

Returning to Joburg Theatre, the Fringe stage to challenge the notion of prisons serving their purpose of being correctional facilities to the state or rather becoming gangster havens for more crimes.

The play turned musical starts on Tuesday 28 June – 3 July 2016 is set in a high security prison in South Africa. The piece creates a controversial debate while exploring the high amount of crime in and outside of South African prisons.

This untameable, loud and explosive piece of theatre pushes its audiences to engage critically and intellectually into the hearts of these convicts’ stories.
