Medea

In September 2019, the Market Theatre in Johannesburg presents a unique interpretation of the great classical tragedy Medea.

The show sees on stage young people with disabilities from the Italian company of the Association of Pathological Theatre in Rome, accompanied by professional actors.

Thanks to the collaboration between the Association, the Italian Cultural Institute in Pretoria and The Market Theatre Foundation, this peculiar adaptation sees the relationship between body and language as its central element: a body that becomes language and communication, thanks to the very important role that music covers in this production.
