Spier Poetry Festival

Poets, philosophers, minstrels and musicians will once again come together to dance with words, language and expression at the third international Spier Poetry Festival, dancing in other words.

Reading, debating, translating and travelling alongside curators Breyten Breytenbach, Dominique Botha and Neo Muyanga are South African poets Keorapetse 'Bra Willie' Kgositsile, 'the dissident poet', James Matthews and South-African born Australian Yvette Christiansë. They are joined by esteemed guests Michel Deguy (France), Maram al-Massri (Syria/France), Efe Paul Azino (Nigeria) and Hans ten Berge (Holland).
