The Dance Umbrella festival celebrates its 28th year with principal funding from the Department of Arts & Culture and the Gauteng Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture. Other partners include the U.S. Mission South Africa, Creative Feel and Splitbeam, Dance Umbrella’s chief supplier of technical equipment.
The final programme for Dance Umbrella 2016 is New Dance at the Soweto Theatre on Sunday March 6 from 10:00. This is a curated programme featuring new work from young choreographers such as Mdu Mtshali, Lorin Sookool from Durban, Thoko Sidiya and Kwanele Thusi from Gauteng.
