In 1991, on the 12th January in early hours of the morning around 2am, a group of people carying automatic rifles stormed into a tent of mourners in Zone 7 where friends, families and neighbours were paying their last respects to the late Comrade Chris Nengalembe.
That morning 39 people died from that carnage and 6 later at the hospital. A woman was later that day neck-laced and her house burned down by a group of comrades seeking revenge.The documentary is a visual revisit to find out from people around the Vaal (Sebokeng) close to Nengalembe’s house; Politicians, Journalists and the survivors, how they felt and what they have to say about the ordeal some decades later.
